A suspect in the alleged rape of two underage girls has pleaded not guilty to a child pornography charge.

Electronic court records indicate that Albert Mondragon, 49, of Roswell, entered a not-guilty plea on Monday to one felony count of manufacturing a visual medium of sexual exploitation of children when he appeared via Google Meet at his arraignment in the 5th Judicial District Court in Roswell.

District Judge Jared Kallunki scheduled Mondragon's trial in the case for March 10. Mondragon has been held in pretrial detention at the Chaves County Courthouse on multiple charges connected to the alleged sexual assault of two girls, believed to be 8 or 9 years of age at the time.
