A Niagara County Court jury has convicted a Niagara Falls man of all counts against him following a murder trial, Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced.

Al Villane , 32, was found guilty of second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He faces 25 years to life in prison when he returns Nov. 10 for sentencing before Niagara County Court Judge John Ottaviano . He continues to be held without bail.

According to the Niagara Gazette, the jury deliberated for about an hour to reach the verdict after a three-day trial.

Prosecutors said Villane fatally stabbed Hollis Stewart, 47, during a confrontation on Sept. 19, 2022, in an apartment in the 700 block of 20th Street in Niagara Falls. Stewart was taken to Erie County Medical Center, w
