There are different reasons why dog owners surrender their dogs to shelters.

However, regardless of the reason their humans give them up, dogs feel the same heartbreak and confusion when they suddenly lose their beloved family and their home.

Stitch, a bully mix, experienced that loss when he found himself at Fulton County Animal Services in Georgia . His family gave him up due to financial reasons, but Stitch couldn’t have known that.

All Stitch knew was that in the blink of an eye he lost his beloved humans and that he now needed to find a new home.

Sadly, because the shelter Stitch was in was overcrowded, the shelter made the heartbreaking decision to place him on the euthanasia list.
