It’s a long way from wannabes to the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame. On Tuesday night, Aug. 20, Def Leppard gave a glimpse of what it takes, when the British rock ‘n’ roll animals lit up the America’s Got Talent stage.

Joe Elliott and Co. are members of the Rock Hall class of 2019, a guitar-laden eighties juggernaut that are one of only five rock bands to earn RIAA Double Diamond status, for shifting ten million units of two or more original studio albums in the United States, doing so with 1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria.

As the quarterfinals kicked off on this 20th season of AGT, the Sheffield, England-formed rockers flexed their guns with a performance of Hysteria single “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
