ELYRIA, Ohio — Lorain County Commissioner David Moore said Friday he wants a clearer picture of the county’s Community Development Department — and raised the possibility of creating a new structure to handle economic development in the future.
At the Aug. 15 commissioners’ meeting, Moore said he met earlier in the day with the county administrator and deputy director to begin mapping out how to better define the department’s work and the financial benefits it brings to the community.
“I’ve advised them that I would like to have them start meeting with your department and start breaking down the benefits that your department provides,” Moore said.
