Wood is providing project management consultancy services to develop Turkey’s largest polypropylene plant and associated terminal facility.
The Aberdeen-headquartered group is deploying more than 70 staff to support the engineering, procurement and construction phase for the new plant, as well as engineering and procurement for the terminal facility, under contracts valued at $18m, over three years.
Located in the Ceyhan industrial zone in the province of Adana, the plant is designed to produce 472,500 tons of polypropylene annually, tripling Turkey’s annual polypropylene production capacity. The plant will use renewable electricity and internally produced hydrogen as fuel.
