Charleston and Frostburg State were selected to repeat as division champions in the Mountain East Conference women's soccer preseason coaches poll released Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles, coming off a 13-2 league record last season received six of the 11 possible first-place votes for 56 points to earn the favorite to win the South Division. Frostburg, meanwhile, picked up 9 of 11 votes in the North Division.

UC was picked ahead of West Virginia State, which received two first-place votes and 49 points to finish ahead of Concord’s three first-place votes and 48 points. Coaches were not permitted to select their own team.

Glenville State, West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins rounded out the South Division selections.
