To the Editor:

This concerns the ongoing matter of Watertown’s relationship with Waterbury with respect to the purchase of water and treatment of sanitary sewage. There has been a great deal of discussion concerning this important matter. In addition, there has been criticism of the Watertown Town Council in connection with this matter.

Specifically, there is protest that the Town of Watertown should not have contested the sharp increases in water and sanitary treatment but should have just allowed the increases. The history of this matter and the position of the Town of Watertown in this matter has not been adequately presented to the Watertown citizens and has not been adequately taken into account.
