A man has been charged with three counts of assaults, including an assault of an emergency worker, after an officer was attacked.

Aaron Savage, 31, of no fixed abode, has been charged following an incident in Withington on Tuesday evening (August 19).

Mr Savage has been remanded into custody.

He is expected to appear in Stockport Magistrates' Court today, Greater Manchester Police has said.
