The judge presiding over the Pharaoh's witness retaliation case said Wednesday that she would review the probation file of the woman prosecutors say was killed for cooperating with the investigation of strip club owner Peter Gerace Jr.
In an unusual request, Gerace's lawyers asked Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Wolford to review the file for information that could help prove his innocence or discredit Crystal Quinn, the witness prosecutors say was targeted for retaliation.
The defense lawyers are interested in evidence related to Quinn's mental health, drug use and instances when her probation officer believed she lied. The file might include information that could absolve Gerace if it shows Quinn was a user of the kinds of narcotics that kill
