A new burger joint with late-night hours is coming to downtown Berkley.

Buns & Patties, a concept from three metro Detroit childhood friends, plans a fall opening at 2375 Coolidge Hwy. in Berkley.

David Pinkhasov, Mark Isakov and Vlad Shamayev, who grew up in metro Detroit and are Jewish immigrants, are the team behind Buns & Patties.

“There’s a huge gap in late-night dining options around here,” co-owner David Pinkhasov said in a news release. “We wanted to create a spot where people can count on great food and a fun vibe after a concert, a shift, or a night out.”

Inside the 1,400-square-foot space, which was a former Tubby’s, there will be counter and banquette seating for 30 people and a fast-casual, comfort food-style menu. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
