The second annual Lakefront Series is presented by the Hobart Art Theater, 230 Main St., in downtown Hobart this weekend. The event takes place in the city parking lot directly behind the historic theater with back-to-back days of live music. Headlining Friday is the Chicago-based national rock act Local H, supported by a trio of regional hard rock groups — Chasing Allura, Seldom Told and Atonemento — with music beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission.

The music changes from rock to hip-hop Saturday with a touring show called Hip Hop Recall that features a trio of national acts — Dem Franchize Boyz, Twista and Ying Yang Twins — sure to inspire plenty of rump-shakin' on the asphalt.
