SCOTT, La. (KLFY) -- The Huddle House in Scott sustained minor damage in a kitchen fire last evening, authorities said.

The kitchen area sustained minor fire and smoke damage, officials said. The restaurant is closed until repairs and inspections are completed. Closure time is expected to be minimal.

The Scott Fire Department responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to a reported commercial fire at the restaurant. Firefighters confirmed that all customers and employees had safely escaped the establishment and were told that a fire was located in the kitchen.

No injuries were reported.
