AVON, Ohio (WJW) – Students and staff at Avon High School are safe after the building was evacuated Thursday morning.
A carbon monoxide alarm was triggered inside the building, officials said.
The Avon Fire Department responded to the school and is investigating with Columbia Gas to determine the source of the alarm.
Avon police confirmed that there is no danger to students or staff.
Superintendent Mike Zalar said the district will provide an update once clearance is given by fire officials.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding,” Zalar said in a statement.
