ROCKY HILL, Conn. — A firefighter is recovering from an arm injury sustained while battling a fire at a seafood restaurant in Rocky Hill early Thursday morning.

The Rocky Hill Fire Dept. was called to Saybrook Fish House at 2165 Silas Dean Hwy. (Route 99) just before 2:45 a.m. for a fire alarm. Responding firefighters arrived to see fire and smoke from the back of the building.

The fire was found in a utility room at the back of the building. After the fire was extinguished, crews searched for hot spots and ventilated the building. Crews left around 4:30 a.m.

One firefighter was taken to a local hospital for a minor arm injury, officials said. No one was in the building at he time of the fire.

It is not known at this time if the restaurant will be open for business on Thursday.
