The latest episode of South Park lampooned President Donald Trump’s ongoing takeover of Washington, D.C. Wednesday night, and some conservative critics say they’ve reached the “end of the road” with the show as MAGA outrage floods online.

“Is this really the best you could come up with?” wrote X user “WokePeopleTakingLs” Wednesday night in response to the episode, a self-described Republican who describes “leftists” as “vile disgusting creatures.”

In the episode, the recurring character “Towelie” is depicted walking the streets of the nation’s capital as armed soldiers and tanks patrol the streets. The episode also mocked tech CEOs for showering Trump with gifts, with the president depicted for a second time this season in an unflattering manner.

The White House fired back at South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone after the debut of the show’s first episode this season, with White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers proclaiming that the show “hasn’t been relevant for 20 years” and was “hanging on by a thread.”

And now, some conservative critics have reached their breaking point.

“This seems to end the road for some of us with South Park,” wrote X user “Foxhound_N10,” a self-described “pragmatic libertarian” whose online activity primarily consists of attacking Democrats and “leftists.”

“If the Liberals want to make it their show, that's fine. I've been watching since '98, and it was getting a little dry anyway. The last two episodes I watched weren't just satire but felt more like pure hatred towards Trump.”

Other conservative online critics mirrored that sentiment, that the show’s repeated attacks of the Trump administration signaled an end to their viewership, including X user “Anti-WokeMan,” who describes themself as a "conservative crusader” and “leftist destroyer.” With nearly 5,000 followers, the user’s profile image is of the South Park character Eric Cartman.

“My favorite show of all time has become lazy,” the user wrote Wednesday night on X. “Where were the Biden and Kamala jokes?”

Trump’s D.C. takeover has continued into its second week, and as of Tuesday, has produced 465 arrests, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. With thousands of federal officers and National Guard members deployed to patrol the streets of the nation’s capital, however, critics have mocked the federal takeover as largely performative, and a waste of taxpayer dollars.

The federal takeover of D.C. is limited by law to 30 days, with an extension requiring approval in Congress. A White House insider, however, has suggested that Trump – still emboldened by his decisive victory in 2024 after facing a litany of legal battles – may seek to make the takeover permanent.

"Man I wish y'all went this hard on Biden," wrote X user "Tom Ott," who describes themself as "America First MAGA" and whose profile picture is the well-known photo of Trump with a raised fist after having survived the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.
