The fitness community is mourning the loss of a motivational leader.

Nicole Brenda Santos Marins , a Brazilian based fitness content creator , has died, her husband Alisson Cravo confirmed on Instagram Aug. 19. She was 28.

Marins—mom to a 6-year-old son—had been driving a motorcycle down a Brazilian highway Aug. 18 when she began experiencing mechanical difficulties and pulled off onto the shoulder, the Brazilian F ederal Highway Police told NationalWorld . She was then hit by a “large” oncoming vehicle, which promptly fled the scene, authorities said.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
