Air Canada plans to resume most of its domestic and international flights on Thursday. This follows the end of a strike by flight attendants that halted operations earlier this week. An online dashboard monitoring the airline's service resumption indicated that 98 percent of domestic flights are expected to operate within the next 24 hours. Additionally, 99 percent of flights to the United States are also anticipated to take off.

The airline's international flight operations are recovering as well, with 94 percent of scheduled flights expected to run. Mark Nasr, Air Canada's chief operations officer, noted that the restart for international routes would take longer. This delay is due to the airline having sent crews home before the strike, which left staff unpositioned overseas when operations resumed.

Air Canada estimates that it may take up to 10 days for service to return to normal levels across both Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge. In response to the disruptions, the airline announced a new policy on Wednesday. It will reimburse customers who booked alternative transportation due to canceled flights between August 15 and August 23.
