Rutgers has lost an incoming transfer who was competing for playing time at a key position for the fall.
Ryder Langsdale , an offensive tackle who transferred to the Scarlet Knights this summer after multiple successful seasons at Lafayette, will miss the entire 2025 season due to an injury he sustained midway through training camp, head coach Greg Schiano said Wednesday.
Langsdale had one more season of eligibility entering this year. The Ridgewood native already utilized his redshirt season in 2021, but he could apply for a medical redshirt and attempt a return to Rutgers during the 2026 season.
Listed at 6-foot-7 and 294 pounds, Langsdale played 2,224 career snaps at left tackle for the Leopards across 35 starts in the past three years, per ProFootballFocus.
