A Sudbury driver was charged recently for failing to flag a ladder jutting from the back of their truck.
Nipissing West OPP said the 45-year-old driver was stopped on Aug. 15 regarding the overhanging load.

The OPP is reminding the public of the rules around transporting material that projects beyond the rear of a vehicle.
If the load extends more than 1.5 metres (about five feet), Ontario law requires it to be clearly marked, the OPP said.
A bright red or orange flag — at least 30 cm x 30 cm — must be attached to the end of the load during daytime, while a red light and red reflector are required at night.
“ Failing to properly mark an overhanging load can result in fines and serious road hazards,” the OPP warned.
