Robert “Bob” Polish, born Jan. 23, 1940, passed away peacefully on Aug. 6, 2025, at age 85.

He was the beloved father of Emily Barden (née Polish) and her husband Elliot of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Jeffery (Jacqueline) Polish and Jill (Robert, deceased) Matson (nee Polish), both of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was the cherished brother of the late Gary Polish (Sicilia Matos Ocasio, both deceased) and Janet (Peter) Luciano (née Polish). Bob was a treasured uncle, and the proud grandfather of five and great-grandfather of three.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Bob attended Stuyvesant High School before earning his bachelor of art from The City College of New York and his master of social work from the New York University Silver School of Social Work. While living in Cleveland, he completed a three-year postg
