TRENT WOODS, N.C. (WITN) - Trent Woods police are warning residents about a coyote in the area.

The animal was seen in the area of Highland Avenue and Canterbury Road.

The police are advising people not to approach the coyote if they see it.

Instead, they should contact the Trent Woods Police Department at 252-637-3030 so that an officer can respond.
