The body of a man who was believed to have been aboard a 42-foot sailboat was found off the Georgia coast Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

On Tuesday, investigators were searching for the man, who was reportedly on the boat about 3 miles off Ossabaw Island. The vessel was located, but there was no one aboard, the Coast Guard Southeast district reported on social media.
