A driver was hurt after they crashed into a light pole and then a motel in Hollywood.

It happened at around 2:59 a.m. at 1501 South Federal Highway.

Police said the driver lost control, struck a city light pole and then slammed into the Curtin Inn and Suites.

Surveillance video shows the vehicle in what employees said was a storage and supply area of the building.

Police said the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. Video shows officers and fire rescue personnel freeing him and placing him onto a stretcher as he yells in pain.

The driver was rushed to the hospital.

No one inside the motel was hurt.
