COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s a fear we all have living in a cyber world.

Our most personal information hacked and our most prized possession targeted: Our kids.

"We're very concerned. We also know that we have some good tools, but we need more tools,” said Geoff Andrews, the CEO of the Management Council of the Ohio Education Computer Network.

Andrews added that cyberattacks vary in range from phishing emails to social media posts. Cyber villains are also getting a lot smarter with their tactics.

He said education passes healthcare as the highest-targeted organization for scammers.

"We want to make sure that the tax dollars that we are afforded go toward the education of children, and not to pay off a ransom,” Todd Hoadley, superintendent of Tolles Career and Technical Center, said.
