Quenton Marselles Brown, the father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, is facing attempted murder charges after a stabbing Wednesday night in Las Vegas, Metro Police said this morning.

He was in an altercation with a youth football coach in the parking lot of All-American Park on South Buffalo Drive, a source told the Sun.

Quenton Marselles Brown was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, Metro Police said this morning. Brown was apprehended a short distance from the scene, police said.

Brown, 57, had taken his grandson to football practice at the park, the source said. The child is Jaylen’s nephew.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said.
