ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The father of an NBA player from Marietta has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in Las Vegas, police said.

Quenton Marselles Brown was arrested on charges related to a stabbing at a park on Buffalo Drive near Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas.

Brown is the father of Boston Celtics basketball player Jaylen Brown, TMZ reported Thursday. The shooting guard joined the team for the 2016-2017 season and was the NBA Finals MVP in 2024. Jaylen Brown signed what was, at the time, the largest deal in NBA history in 2023.

The family is from Marietta.
