CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Gray News) - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is on lockdown as police investigate a possible active shooter situation on campus.
The university sent out an alert at about 12:57 p.m. (ET) Thursday reporting a possible active shooter at the University Center or the university’s library.
“Run. Hide. Fight,” the alert said.
A Hamilton County emergency alert reported the campus was on lockdown and advised residents to avoid the area.
The Chattanooga Police Department reported they are working with university police to investigate reports of shots fired.
Police said they haven’t found any victims at this time.
Along with the university campus, all City of Chattanooga buildings are on lockdown, according to Chattanooga Police.
