NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Hurricane Erin is 260-miles east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and 410-miles west-northwest of Bermuda as it continues moving north-northeast at 18-mph.
It has maximum sustained winds of 100-mph along with hurricane-force winds extending outward up to 105-miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds up to 320-miles making Erin a very large category 2 hurricane.
Over the coming days, this hurricane is expected to move faster in a northeastward to east-northeastward motion.
The National Hurricane Center says that "the center of Erin will move over the western Atlantic between the U.S. east coast and Bermuda through early Friday, and then pass south of Atlantic Canada Friday and Saturday."
