TAMPA, Fla. — Something changed in the last 10 days for the Yankees .

They were losing series left and right for two months.

They lost first place, then second, then found themselves in the last wild-card spot by a measly half game.

And then after the Yankees kept finding ways to blow games in every imaginable way, it’s as if they snapped their fingers to wake up from their nightmare.

They started winning again last week by taking the first two games of a series against the Twins, but the Twins stink. They just blew up their team at the trade deadline.

Next up was a five-game roadtrip to play two mediocre teams that also were summer sellers.
