RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The suspect in the 2024 murder of a woman near Raleigh is now charged with the death of her unborn child, court records show.
Tyra Jalisa Bennett, 23, was found dead on May 6, 2024, in the 3700 block of Camley Avenue, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
The following day, deputies said they arrested then-26-year-old Noa Najee Lorenzetti and charged him with murder in connection with Bennett's death.
Lorezentti was indicted by a grand jury in the murder of Bennett in July 2024, according to court records.
On Tuesday, according to court records, a grand jury indicted Lorezentti on the charge of murder of an unborn child.
The indictment states Bennett was pregnant when she was murdered.
Records show Lorezentti has been held at the Wake County Detention
