A senior cop has said that the brutal gang war raging across Scotland is not expected to 'abate'.
During a Scottish Police Authority meeting at the Clayton Hotel in Glasgow, Deputy Chief Constable Jane Connors said that “It doesn’t look like that type of behaviour is going to abate" when discussing Operation Portaledge, which was set up in response to a string of gangland attacks over the past five months.
DCC Connors also revealed that organised crime squads and intelligence teams are being stretched under “continued pressure” by the gangland chaos , and other policing operations including responses to protests held over immigration and the conflict in Gaza.
