The short-cycle planting plan in the eastern state has begun with the planting of 500 chili pepper seedlings in the Puerto La Madera sector of Cumaná, Sucre state, according to Jhoanne Barceló, coordinator of the Vice Ministry of Urban and Family Agriculture in the region.

The official said that the plan promoted by the national government through the Vice Ministry of Urban and Family Agriculture aims to reactivate agroecological and productive work in the state's communities.

He specified that this program will also include the planting of bell peppers, Chinese garlic, chives, among others, and will allow these items to be offered to the population through the vegetable fairs that will take place during the holiday season.
