Glenn Howard, considered one of the greatest football coaches in state history, will have the Paulsboro High School football stadium named in his honor this September.

On Sept. 6, the Paulsboro Board of Education and Athletic Department will dedicate the stadium for Howard at halftime of the Red Raiders’ game against Audubon.

A 1977 graduate of Paulsboro, Howard was the head coach of his alma mater for 35 years.

During his tenure with the Red Raiders, he posted a 316-70 record. His teams won 21 Conference championships and 14 South Jersey Group 1 titles and he took Paulsboro to 24 championship games. From 1992 to 1998, the Red Raiders won a state-record 63 games in a row - a mark that still stands.
