FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - 12 little leaguers from Fairfield are just two wins away from a World Series title.

Fairfield National Little League fever is spreading across town. A banner for the team has been set up on the town green.

At a watch party at Elicit Brewing Company on Wednesday, hundreds of friends and fans cheered on their win.

The Town of Fairfield hopes their magical ride continues.

The owners of Saugatuck Sweets have put up a huge banner outside their shop.

“Everybody’s watched the last game, the last couple of innings. Kids are excited because they know these kids,” said Al DiGuido, Saugatuck Sweets.

7 of the 12 kids on the team attend Fairfield Woods Middle School. The staff and students are hoping they come back as champions.
