EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A big concert is coming to Connecticut, and it’s being held where there hasn’t been a concert in almost two decades.
Rentschler Field, home to the UConn Huskies, will be filled with Chris Brown fans this Saturday.
Cities like New York and Boston have larger stadium venues and attract bigger concerts.
However, Live Nation sees Rentschler as an opportunity for certain performers.
This will be the first concert at Rentschler Field since 2007.
The Police, an English rock band, were the last to play at the venue for their reunion tour.
Since then, it’s been home for UConn football and soccer games.
The stadium seats about 30,000 people when set up for a concert.
That is much smaller than larger venues in neighboring states, but Live Nation sees this stadium
