The San Diego Padres are one of the better teams in baseball, but it's come by spending a lot of money and making a lot of huge trades.

A lot of these trades have paid off in big ways for the Padres, but their farm system is still suffering from the aftermath of these deals. Blockbusters for Mason Miller, Dylan Cease, and Juan Soto used up a lot of prospect capital.

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter recently predicted the Padres would boost their farm system by selecting high school left-handed pitcher Gio Rojas in the first round of the 2026 MLB Draft.
