The Yankees have been dreaming on Cam Schlittler’s potential for the last several years as he’s developed in their farm system. Some within the organization believed that Schlittler had ace-level upside long before the right-hander rocketed up rankings this season, climbing from Double-A to his debut.

That future is now for Schlittler, who flirted with a perfect game on Wednesday night against the Rays and put together his best start in a Yankees uniform to date.
