Upper Merion Township Police Department

Police in Lower Merion Township are on the lookout for a thief who, officials claim, stole thousands of dollars worth of purses from a shop in the King of Prussia Mall and then used pepper spray or bear spray to incapacitate a worker as she fled.

According to police, the incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025 at about 4 p.m. when a young woman -- described as being between 16 and 20 years old -- stole several purses from a DIESEL store at the King of Prussia Mall, located along the 100 block of North Gulph Road in King of Prussia, and fled the store.
