A Fresno man faces drug and gun charges after having prior drug trafficking convictions.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced that Manuel Cisneros, 48, was arraigned in federal court on Thursday after a federal grand jury indictment charged him with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl and being a felon in possession of ammunition.

Driving the news: On Feb. 20, Cisneros allegedly possessed fentanyl, methamphetamine and several rounds of .40-caliber ammunition. • He is prohibited from possessing ammunition because of prior felony drug trafficking convictions.

What we’re watching: Cisneros faces life in prison if he is convicted and a $10 million fine. • He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years if convicted.
