COLUMBIA — South Carolina is ahead of the curve, and about to add another to its uniforms.

The university is expected to announce a new athletic apparel deal with Nike on Aug. 22, signaling the end of a 10-year deal with Under Armour, sources confirmed to The Post and Courier. The shoe giant's distinctive "Swoosh" logo will be on USC's uniforms and team gear beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

A Board of Trustees meeting has been called for 9 a.m. on Aug. 22 with one item agenda reading: "Athletics Department: Apparel Agreement."
