MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - CrimeStoppers today announced it now has an award of $21,000 to pay to any citizen who anonymously contacts CrimeStoppers with information that will help identify one or more suspects in the July 19 shooting death of Corey Adams, a University of Mississippi freshman football player.

An additional $11,000 donation was received from the family, thanks to a GoFundMe drive the family mounted. The amount has been added to the $10,000 CrimeStoppers already had posted in the homicide case.

Adams, 18 and a touted defensive end from New Orleans, was killed, and several others were injured, when gunfire erupted after a pool party in Cordova.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported more than 40 rifle and pistol shell casings were found at a nearby residential scene. Chie
