HOUSTON (KIAH) — Authorities in Harris County said they arrested 14 men on solicitation of prostitution charges that were near local daycare centers.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said it arrested the men, ranging in ages 20 to 70, in a two-day vice operation in northwest Harris County targeting prostitution and human trafficking.

Some of the arrests came from undercover deputies near daycare centers, Constable Mark Herman said.

The charges are a state jail felony. Some of the men arrested have prior violent criminal backgrounds, including assault, weapon charges and prostitution-related charges, Herman said.
