After hours of deliberation Wednesday night, the Palmer Lake Planning Commission was no closer to making its recommendation about the Buc-ee's proposal that has embroiled the small town in controversy since last year.

Nearing midnight, the board agreed to delay its decision on the developers' packet, which included hundreds of pages of diagrams and descriptions.

"We need time," said commissioner Michael Beeson, who was in favor of giving the commission longer to study the packet published earlier this week.

The eventual date set for a return to the discussion was Sept. 3, which interferes with the date the Palmer Lake Board of Trustees had scheduled for the final vote on the annexation proposal.
