TRAVERSE CITY — Lane closures are scheduled to begin Monday on Fourteenth Street as the Traverse City Streets Division starts a large-scale mill and pave project.
Per an Aug. 21 news release, the work — which will extend from Cass Street to Maple Street — is expected to take several weeks and finish by Sept. 12, weather permitting. Crews will begin by closing Fourteenth Street to westbound traffic between Cass Street and Union Street on Aug. 25.
That segment is anticipated to be complete by Aug. 27 before work continues block by block heading west.
The project involves milling two inches of asphalt along both the curb and centerline, then adding three inches of new asphalt on the drive lanes. The Veterans Drive intersection will not be resurfaced due to its good condition. City official
