INDIANAPOLIS — A jury convicted an Indianapolis woman for a triple deadly shooting in Broad Ripple in June 2023 .

Kira Hinds was found guilty on two counts of murder, one count of reckless homicide and one count of criminal recklessness. The jury found Hinds not guilty of battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

Hinds' sentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12 at 1 p.m.

"The defendant’s actions resulted in three people losing their lives and needlessly endangering countless others," Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said in a news release. "These crimes impacted our entire community, and this guilty verdict sends a clear message that violence will not be tolerated."
