Chilling footage shows a machete-wielding thug attempting to stab two men after a massive 'Wild West-style' brawl broke out on a Birmingham street.

The alarming scenes were caught on camera after violence erupted involving up to 20 people in broad daylight in Sparkhill , Birmingham, last week.

In the video, a group of men can be seen arguing outside a row of houses along Showell Green Lane before punches start flying.

Within moments, brawling individuals are scattered across the street as several fights break out simultaneously.

One man, dressed in a grey top and black tracksuit bottoms, is seen brandishing a large knife and trying to slash two men during the chaos.
