Greensboro residents will be able to view bodycam footage of a May traffic stop that has prompted calls for police reform.

On Thursday, Superior Court Judge S. Thomas Currin II granted the city of Greensboro’s request to release the bodycam footage, according to court documents posted online.

The Greensboro Police Department has three weeks “to review, redact should the law require, and compile the BWC footage of said traffic stop in order to release to the general public.”

Members of the Greensboro City Council are permitted to view the unredacted footage privately prior to the public release.
