On Thursday night in the Bronx, even though they held a 4-3 lead, it was more of the same from the Boston offense. Through eight innings, the Red Sox were 2-for-18 with runners in scoring position, stranding 14 runners. And though Aroldis Chapman would have inspired plenty of confidence to lock down the one-run save, the closer would be facing the meet of the Yankees' order in the bottom of the ninth.
