TAMPA, Fla. — While the signs differ from starter to starter, the purpose for the Cardinals’ scrutiny is the same, from monitoring Matthew Liberatore’s midgame dips in velocity or changes to Andre Pallante’s crispness.

“The monitoring is workload,” manager Oli Marmol said. “You’re monitoring workload for both. Workload for one guy leads to velo(city), and one for the other guy is overall sharpness. The base line is still workload. Some guys are affected differently.”

The Cardinals continue to turn through their status quo rotation with no immediate plans to alter it coming out of Saturday’s off-day, plunging into a stretch of 11 games in 11 days.
